Susan Beeghly is a retired nurse who has lived in Omaha for 8 years. She and her husband, Weyland, now deceased, lived overseas 14 years out of the many years he was employed by the Foreign Agriculture Service of the United States Department of Agriculture. Whether in or out of the US, Susan worked as a nurse whenever possible and participated in choirs and at times directed the church choirs. She credits her mom with starting the road to her musical activities when her mom ensured that she and her siblings all took piano lessons. This led to band and chorus and church choirs and family sing-a-longs and her own children and grandchlldren becoming involved in music, whether in singing or playing an instrument. Susan enjoys selecting music that will enhance the worship experience for choir and congregation, is rewarding to sing, and is suitable for the size and abilities of the choir. “ Be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart.” (Ephesians 5:18-19)
