I have been asked to reintroduce myself to those of you who were here during my ministry among you from 2002-2005, and to introduce myself to those of you I’ve not met.
I go by Pastor Glenn (my last name is Schacht which presents all kinds of pronunciation possibilities). For the past 27 years I have been doing intentional interim ministry with congregations in the Nebraska and Western Iowa Synods. Before that I was a Chaplain in alcoholism/addiction treatment centers.
I have signed on here at Morning Star to work up to 20 hours a week and preach once a month. My duties here fit under the broad rubric of pastoral care and spiritual guidance. I will be helping with visitation, adult education, and prayer groups. I will also be maintaining office hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for persons who have a family member struggling with chronic illness (ie. Depression, alcoholism, addiction, bipolar disorder, Alzheimer’s Disease).
My wife, Ronni, and I live in the Florence Heights section of North Omaha. We have three grown children and five grandchildren. We look forward to being with you again and introducing you to our family when the opportunity arises. I look forward to ministry among you again with joy and gratitude.
God’s Peace,
Pastor Glenn
